I am looking for an apartment or cottage in Ireland. We (a party of 6) will be flying into Shannon and are interested in the area around Galway or Kenmare. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Check www.discoverireland.com or other Irish tourism websites for "self catering" accomodations. There are self catering places all over Ireland, so I'm sure you'll find several in the areas you are interested in.

You can do a google search on "self catering Galway" or "self catering Kenmare." That's how I found ours in Doolin.
Keep in mind that most places rent by the week, Saturday-Saturday. If you're traveling in the off-season, you may be able to bargain and rent it for less than a week.
