Planning a trip and will be staying in Chipping Camden to see a few gardens in the area...next day want to drive to Dover area (or Rye) with a stop enroute to Arundle Castle...anyone know how long and how many miles we will put on?
You should play around with the michelin route planner. http://www.viamichelin.co.uk/viamichelin/gbr/tpl/hme/MaHomePage.htm
Bear in mind that you are likely driving more slowly than a local. I find it takes me 10-20% longer depending on the number of photos I stop and take. ; ) Others may chime in with their experience.

This is the suggested route from the Automobile Association UK route planner. You can change the route if you want to avoid motorways. Depending on the time of day traffic near towns can be heavy and slow you up quite a lot so be generous with your calculations.
Just came home from the Cotswolds. It is quite lovely. Remember when driving, it will take you quite a bit longer than a map advisor might tell you. The very zigzaggy roads are 60 miles an hour. Many blind curves with no shoulder, only a curb stone just waiting there to attack your tires. Anyway, we have a TomTom GPS and downloaded the UK maps. This was the best $45.00 we spent. It was great.
from OP: anyone know how long and how many miles we will put on?
