Cotswolds or Bath

With a 3 day car rental and four people (Myself, my husband and two daughters - age 18 and 22), should we go to: 1. Cotswold area with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon.
2 Bath with side trip to Stonehenge.

Cotswolds...there are so many small quiant villages that are wonderful. Also, you could visit Blenheim Palace the birthplace of Winston Churchill, which is right outside of the village of Woodstock...also Sudeley Castle home and burial place of Catherine Parr Henry VIII's sixth and last wife it's in Winchommbe. The villages of Broadway, Bourton-on-the-Water, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Bledington, the Slaughters (Upper and Lower), Chipping Campden are all worth a village, just to name a few.

Bath and Stonehenge! We enjoyed the Cotswold area and Shakespeare's home; however, Stonehenge in person on the windy Plain was amazing and Bath was so interesting and historic. But Bath and Stonehenge is 1 day and the Cotswolds are 1 or 2 days, so you should have time. We also enjoyed York.

IMHO Bath and Stonehenge easily over the Cotswold area. The Roman baths alone would be a top pick of any trip let alone walking around Stonehenge. You would have to have no soul or imagination not to be touched. The girls ,if they are shoppers, will much prefer the malls of Bath. The Cotswolds are a nice peaceful area for catching up on walking and relaxing.

Cotswolds are the essence of English villages, easy to get away from it all. Also Stonehenge to me is still a mystical wonderful place. Given your choices, Bath for me is easy to skip. Stratford is mostly just for the Shakespeare connection, nothing much else in my opinion

If this is really and either or situation and as much as I love Stonehenge, I'd have to go with The Cotswolds and Stratford. I really enjoyed Stratford the last time I was there and it's another good city for the HOHO. You didn't say where your 3 day car rental started from. Would it be possible to see Stonehenge, give Bath a miss then see a couple of villages in The Cotswolds before going to Stratford. Just wondering.
