Normand - There are several places to stay. We've stayed at Moreton-in-Marsh and Chipping Campden. There is also Stow-on-the-Wold and Burton-on-the-Water

I have been to the Cotswolds over New Years, the beginning of November and in August, and each time was wonderful, just different. There might be a rainy season but I did not encounter it. Obviously, less busy and colder in winter, but the hot tea and warms scones really hit the spot. The summer was beautiful with flowers and great weather and more tourists. One of my favorite hotels was in Chipping Camden and it was the Volunteer Inn. Reasonable, and nice rooms. The hotel is right in town and over a rather livley pub, but the noise ended early and never bothered us. Also nice breakfast.
