Does anyone know how much a 7 day London travelcard for zones 1 and 2 costs? Also, how much would a single day ticket cost? Thanks!!

£29.20 for a 7 day travelcard (recent posts indicate you might need an extra passport photo to get one). £8.40 for a one day pass for anytime travel; £7.00 for off-peak travel (after 9:30 Monday - Friday; all day on week-ends). You can find this information and much more on tfl.gov.uk, the Transport for London site.

Rather than buying day tickets it's more convenient now to get an Oyster stored-fare card and charge it with money. The system automatically stops charging you when you spend enough in a single day that a travelcard would have been cheaper.

It just occurred to me this morning that you only need a photo if you're planning on buying the paper travelcard to take advantage of the 2 for 1 specials, which we did. Otherwise Philip's suggestion makes the most sense.
