CORK Sites and B&B's

Good day! Any suggestions for my 11 year old son and I for the sites to see in Cork City and where to stay? We would prefer a B&B, and we're taking day trips to Ballymakeera (ancestors) and Cobh, so we're looking for the short list of sites to see in Cork. Thanks very much in advance for any assistance!
