We are planning a trip to England over Christmas this year. We were wondering if there are certain cities that are better to be in on or near Christmas (like York verses Bath, or North Wales) since it appears many things will be closed 24-26th. Any feedback would be appreciated

The UK closes almost completely on Christmas Day: no attractions, very little public transport, few restaurants. Pick somewhere you can walk around easily and sightsee outdoors.
