We will have about 5 hours to sleep near Heathrow before heading to the LHR airport in the morning. Any suggestions for cheap place but clean where a family of 5 may find 5 beds? We'd sleep at airport but hear LHR is the worst in the world for that.

I believe there is a hotel connected with the airport. If it were me, I'd just go directly to the airport and plan to sleep on the plane home.

Sleepinginairports.com is very rude about LHR! But you could see how much the Yotel would cost for your group Yotel.com

Thanks Kathy and DaveI've looked into the airport and yotel already. Too spendy...for a family of five that requires at least 2 rooms (Yotel requires more) It's looking like a LHR campout is in order. Or a sleep much further away.

I'm starting to sound like a spokeswoman for Hotwire but try them or a similar search engine for a hotel near the airport. Yes you will probably need two rooms and maybe someone sleeps on the couch. It's worth a look see. If you mean you have five hours including time required to get to airport and check in etc. well, enjoy Heathrow.

Thank you Maria. I'll check hotline-good idea. 5hours means 5 hours- we may have more but I was making a conservative estimate considering all the needs on each end. I hope my days of sleeping in airports is coming to an end!
