Cheap double room ensuite in London

Where would you recommend me to look for a cheap double room ensuite in London? In budget hotels, in hostels, in B&Bs? Maybe I should look for apartments? I will be staying 5 nights. Thanks in advance!

You need to define cheap. Cheap in London is not the same as cheap in Rome or Argentina.

There are four ETAPs scattered around the periphery, all close to metro. Doubles are $60-90 depending on hotel (all rooms are exactly the same). (etaphotel.com)

Hostels usually arent ensuite.

Easyhotel rooms are all ensuite and start at 25 GBP per night if you book and pay early. I use them every time I go to London and stay near Kensington in Earls ct for that price each time. Last minute will be about 40-50 GBP a night. I love easyhotel even thought it is a tiny room, it is simple, and clean with nice bed and hot shower ensuite.

www.easyhotel.com and No I do not work for them, I am just a satisfied customer!

They have about 6 or so locations in London, all within 10 minute walk to the underground station nearest to the hotel.

Hi Natalia,

"CHEAP" is relative to the place you are staying and what you get for the price you paid. Depends how you define the word.

London and Paris are very expensive, Berlin is cheap, as regards to accomodations and food. It is possible in London to get
a double room en suite even in a hostel, but the price could be the same as in a B&B in the KIng's Cross St. Pancras area. I made it a point to check out this information this summer since the next time in London (maybe next spring) I'll be staying at King's Cross. I stayed at The Alhambra Hotel, 19 Argyle Street...very good, clean with en suite rooms.

The closest hostel is The YHA St. Pancras, opposite of the King's Cross station, on 79-81 Euston Road. Double room en suite are available there too.

Hi all, thanks for your answers.
Researching lots and lots of accommodation possibilities, I found out that if you want to stay in a double room ensuite, it's more economic to stay in a budget hotel than in a hostel (at least in those that offer that kind of facility). Apartments are a bit more expensive. I thougth the cheapest I could find was 55 pounds in a budget hotel, which is what I found by myself, but then Tami suggested easyhotels, and that is really really cheap! Making reservations in advance, of course. So thank you very much Tami, I will probably stay in one of the easyhotels!

Easyhotel rooms are extremely small. And if youre claustrophobic, you may not want to go there. Check out the website!

They are notoriously clean with showers that have endless hot water with great pressure. The air is regulated so its a constant average room temperature, so never too hot or cold. It is basically a place to stay if you are just interested in sleeping and showering and spending most of the time out of the room.

We also stayed at an EasyHotel in London....Earl's Court. Small, clean, insuite bathroom - 25GBP/night, can't beat that. We loved it, but were only there to sleep and shower. Exactly what we wanted.
