Has anyone been to The George Hotel? It is offering 60GBP for 4 nights, but everything else we have found at that rate has had reviews of being dirty. Got good reviews on tripadvisor.com, but wondering why RS doesn't have it in his book if it is a good one. Please advise.

I haven't stayed there myself. The hotel gets a good review on eurocheapo.com.

There are just SO many hotels in London that it is impossible for any one guidebook to list all of the good ones. Tripadvisor is a good starting point for info on the hotel. BTW, I've learned, on Tripadvisor, to disregard the most negative review and the most positive review and base my decision upon all the others. You'll always get somebody who will nitpick and somebody who will look on the bright side, no matter what. Hence, my tactic.

I went ahead and reserved it, as the reviews from tripadvisor and eurocheapo were good. if anyone out there has stayed at The George Hotel I would love to hear about it.
