Catholic Churches in southeastern Ireland

We'll be in the southeastern part of Ireland on Sunday & my husband would like to attend mass. His vision is that it would be something like the church in The Quiet Man, but we'd be happy with something quaint & traditional. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Beth, Can you pin down the location a bit more, a county maybe? There are many, many catholic churches to choose from. You might just wander and find one randomly.

It should not be difficult finding a small town Catholic church in Southern Ireland. Pick your town. Wherever you stay should be able to give you suggestions

If you go on Catholicireland.net, they have mass times listed by county. If you know where you'll be, it'll help you narrow down times. Mass in Ireland is a quick matter. Used to be, there were so many priests in Ireland that a good bit of them shipped over here. Now, there's a shortage, so many parishes share a priest between them. It's not uncommon to see the priest pull up to the church seconds before mass, say a quick (less than 45 minutes) mass, then run out to drive to the next town.

Actually, the town/county in which we'll be depends on where we find a church to attend. Ideally, I'd like to stay in Waterford or Kilkenny. Thanks for the suggestion about the website - will definitely take a look.
