Please identify the white marble statue of woman with dog at her feet which is directly in front of Catherine Palace's formal garden.
I'll take a stab at it - Catherine the Great buried her dogs on the Catherine Palace estate and that statue may be a memorial to the dogs. I haven't seen it, just read about it.
It could be a statue of the goddess Diana the Huntress. She is often shown with a stag but also sometimes with a dog. However, this is just a guess....The dogs' tomb is a small pyramid with four columns surrounding it.
