Recently there have been some questions about lodgings in castles in the UK. "Britain" magazine for July 2009 includes a great article about castles that are now hotels, B&Bs,even hostles, etc. Here is a short list: Thornbury Castle in Gloucestershire near Bristol, Amberely Castle in Sussex, Dalhousie near Edinburgh, Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire, Langley Caastle, Lumley Castle and Raby Castle in County Durham, Oxford Castle, Augill castle in Cumbria, Minard Castlem, in Argyll, Ludlow Castle in Shoropshire, Sudeley Castle in the Cotswolds, Myers Castle in Kingdom of Fife, and Alnwick Castle. They also suggest you check with VisitBritain's wersite and the Youth Hostle Association as well as English Heritage. I'd recommend reading the article!!! Maybe others can post those they have stayed at on this thread.
