Has anyone had any experience or knowledge of Romantic Castles that would be ideal for an engagement . I am looking for elegant and has the atmoshere of a true castle.
I would appreciate your advise

Ashford Castle without question. Peirce Brosnan held his wedding reception there. We stayed last year,a nd thoroughly enjoyed. The grounds are large, several hundred acres, and it's rated near the top of everyone's 'star' system. Prices are high, but if you keep an eye out, the sometimes have B&B 50% off specials with breakfast included! (that's about a $70-80 freebie for two people.) Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for your reply. It is my son who will be getting engaged and he chose Waterford Castle.
I am going in September with my husband and I am going to treat both of us to a night at Asford Castle.
