Does anyone have any suggestions for travelling from London to Castle Howard/ Thank you

Castle Howard is very convenient to York as stated above. Stay in York and allow at least an extra day to see all that York has to offer as well. Its a lot of travel just for Castle Howard, but including York makes it a worthwhile trip. I would be inclined to rent a car in York for the trip to Castel howard and try and see some of the moors as well

You can take the train from London's King's Cross station to York. In York take the Stephensons there are several buses that leave York to Castle Howard a return ticket (round trip) is £6.80 bus numbers #181,182,183 goes to the castle. The buses run daily, several times except for Sundays and Bank Holidays.

It's a great castle to visit. The gardens are very nice. Other things area include Rivaulx Abbey which is wonderful. If you can find the time to visit it as well you'll enjoy it. It's in a beautiful peaceful valley. Pam
