Cashel B&B's

We are three adults finalizing a mid-October trip to Ireland and have had success booking B&B's in Avoca and Kinsale. However, we are having difficulty booking one single and one double room in Cashel. Anyone have suggestions for a good B&B in the area?

Try the Derrynaflan House. Great old farmhouse, wonderful hosts!

Glenn,

Alot of the B&B's in Cashal either have double or 'family' rooms. There are probalby a few that have single rooms, but I have not come across them and I have been to Cashel 4 times.

Your best choice would be a family room; which is either three twin beds or two double beds and a twin bed.

Joy Joan at Rockfall/Rockview House is a great hostess. You can see the 'Rock' which is right outside her house. She does have a room w/one double and two singles; but then so does Ashford house. Both of these b&b's are fantastic!

If you choose Ashford house, please bring the lady of the house a fridge magnet from Maryland. She collects magnet from around the world. Both of these houses can be found on the internet. I got a 'kick' out of Ashford houses 'stairway to heaven' photo on the internet and HAD to book to check it out!

Either one of the ladies of the houses can get tickets reserved for you for the Bru Boru Center's performance in the evening. Great fun!!

Don't sweat it. They are EVERYWHERE. Just because you can't find them on line shouldn't concern you. I just got back and didn't make one reservation. I just popped into town and found a single every time. I paid from 65 Euros per night in the city to 35 in the small towns. Unless it's high season it's always a bit negotiable.
