Hello...wondering about "budget" accommodation in Cardiff in March? We are students, looking to spend under $90 a night hopefully (hopefully less!), but plan to be using public transportation to get around England and Wales. We will be attending the Doctor Who Convention at the Millennium Center, and have something planned near the Cardiff Castle, so both must be accessible. Any ideas? Thanks :)
Katie, I would certainly think there are places to stay in Cardiff that would be cheaper, but we stayed at The Town House B&B. We did have a rental car but once we parked it we were able to walk to the Millennium Center and the Castle. I looked on line now and a twin room (including breakfast) was about 49 pounds a night. The B&B was quite nice.
I stayed at the Sleeperz hotel (right next to the train station) - 60 pounds a night but that was in June so I expect it would be cheaper in March. Free wifi, helpful staff, cheap food on site. Could also try the Premier Inn, they advertise rooms for under 30 a night across the UK but not sure what kind of restrictions there might be.
Have fun!
Thanks! I'll look into those.
