Has anyone used priceline.com for a rental car? I was checking several different websites and they were pretty low compared to the other sites. Are there tons of hidden fees or could this deal really be true?
Thanks!

Tracey, I have made several trips to Ireland and the rental car thing was driving me nuts last time.I went twice in 2007 and the last one I finally called a travel agent (they do not charge) and he saved me over a hundred dollars. So, this may be one time you want to call one and at least ask them what they can get a car for.
Hope this helps, and no I have not tried priceline. Nancy
I haven't used Priceline either. I usually rent from Irish Car Rentals (www.eirecar.com).
For the best deals book direct with the hire companies, its very rare third party websites such as priceline.com have better value, although sometimes it can happen. www.eirecar.com are an irish company and are pretty big, you also have big brands like Budget (www.budget-ireland.com) or Avis (www.avis.ie) who are bigger again and are more likely to have more cars.
The terms & conditions usually have all the fees, they may seem daunting at first but take your time there really isn't that much into them. Look for any fees relating to your pickup location and if you are dropping off in a different location.
Insurance is usually the trickiest part. You'll find there is an extra charge for full cover sometimes a good option for peace of mind if nothing else. Also remember you can always contact the hire company (email, phone) directly if you book through them.
