Car rental from Europcar in Ireland?

Has anyone used Europcar in Ireland? We are planning on getting our insurance through a broker that specializes in rental car insurance. It says it covers CDW and any deductible - has anyone done this?

Europcar is okay, but I've never used them in Ireland.

You might want to check their bottom line against this outfit:http://www.353carrental.ie/.

I've used them before (and so have my friends). I've got a car (smallest one they have) for all but a couple of days next month and they're only stiffing me 325 euros.

DON'T USE EUROPCAR!!!!!! We used them last Sept. We declined all insurance because we had our own. We had paid in advance so we were shocked when we got home and found a large charge from them on our AE credit card. We called and the told us it was for insurance. We went around and around and got some of it taken off but not all of it. We also called AE and they took the charge off but it appeared again later. Apparently Europecar told them a good story. After doing some searching on the web I found several people who had similar experiences. They do it to people who live outside Europe because they can't do too much about it after the fact.

Ditto here! We were charged about $200 (135Euros) more than quoted, and likewise didn't find out till we opened our World MC statement. Our WMC should have allowed us to be covered without their insurance, but they managed to slip some in, and our CC company wouldn't take the charges off. In Shannon, (I don't know about Dublin) Europcar, National Car Rentals, and Irish Car rentals are all linked at one booth. I would stay as far away from any of those 3 as possible.

We did have good luck with Auto Europe about 3 years ago. Dan
