Car Rental Fees: Wow Terrible;Why?

I noticed as I made my car rental reservations with Hertz, that there are fuel deposit fees placed on your credit card, until you return the car. These fees are HUGE ! Why these fees? CDW fees and TP fees in GB even when I have my own car ins. coverage? Any problems getting these fuel deposit fees dropped/removed from my card when I drop the car off after use? WOW on these outlandish fees!! Wayne

Auto Europe should be cheaper than Hertz. You can book online, but calling their US toll-free number and asking about special deals might get you an extra low rate. If you like what you find, cancel your reservation with Hertz.
