We will be staying 2 blocks from the King's Cross station for 2 days in July. As our stop is going to be short, we would like to keep our rental car. Does anyone know of any public car parks in the area? My searches have not turned up anything near our hotel. Thanks.
I agree with Bob. Driving in London does not qualify as an activity that should be done on a vacation.
Have you asked the place where you will stay? They should be able to help. You may consider parking at a remote Tube station and take the subway in to the center of London.
And you have to factor in paying the congestion charge for entering inner London - I think it's around £8 each time.

I can't agree more; you don't want to drive in London. The first time I did it I swore I wouldn't do it again and somehow forgot that promise, regretting it more the second time. Could you leave your car with the rental company outside the city for those 2 days?
If you are determined to park in Bloomsbury there are a couple of underground car parks I use. Both are on the corner of Marchmont Stree And Bernard Street near to Russell Square tube station. Both cost a bit of money ( they take MasterCard and Visa ) both are safe.
Unless money is no problem it can get expensive driving and parking in London except at the weekends when the congestion charges don't apply and parking on the marked bays in the street is free from 13:30 on Saturday until 06:00 on Monday.
You say you want to keep your car. What for? You will not want to drive it in London. Best thing is to get rid of it and ride the underground.
The lack of public parking in London is one of the biggest reasons visitors schedule it at either the beginning or end on their visit to the UK.
