Our plan is to visit London, Canterbury and Cornwall. Is it better to do Canterbury as a day trip from London and then go to Cornwall from London, or should we visit Canterbury and leave for Cornwall from there? We expect to travel by train.
For practical purposes there is no alternative to going back to London. Canterbury to Cornwall without going through London would be inconvenient. That isn't to say that it couldn't be done, but it would involve many changes and you would end up on trains that had come from London anyway. Quicker to go via London.
Thanks so much for the practical advice. I suspected that going from Canterbury to Cornwall would involve a lot of changes but the route along the coast looked inviting.
