Am renting a car(at Heathrow)in June 2010 for 3+ week driving trip of England, Scotland, Orkney. Wondering if I can bring/plug into car charger my Garmin GPS(from the US) ?

Be sure to ensure that your US-based GPS is equipped with European Maps!
Also, don't trust it implicitly as they do make mistakes. Carry a Michelin (or other) good Map for backup!
