Hi. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a nice, clean, clean, clean, fairly priced (~$100-$150/night) hotel in Stockholm or vicinity that is close to public transportation? Many thanks!

Look at the Ibis website. We stayed at an Ibis outside of Stockholm central which was within easy walking distance of the metro (1/2 hr out if I recall). If you find one you like get the breakfast option - lots to fill up on and good quality food.

I stayed at the Nordic Sea Hotel. It is literally steps away from the Arlanda Express (to the airport). The train station, if you needed it, was extremely close. I walked everywhere and only used the bus to go places that were further away. This hotel was fairly inexpensive. The rooms were small (I was traveling alone), but the bathroom had a heated floor. That was great since I was there in the winter. The hotel was very clean, and I would definitely stay here again.

The Finnish chain Omena is just opening a new hotel in Stockholm in May that is walking distance to Central Station. Price runs about $90 per night. All rooms have double bed plus two fold out futon chairs O.K. for children as well as refrigerator and microwave. Check their website: http://www.omenahotels.com/en/hotels/
