We've a day in Cambridge with all the usual sites, the punting, and evensong at Kings. But our train doesn't leave for London until 9:30 pm. Hmm. I'm thinking that was not a smart decision, for now I don't know what there is to do after 7 PM. AAre pub meals even served that time of day?? If so,can one get a pub meal and loiter? or if one shows up at the Anchor Pub for an ale, how long before they kick you out?? Thanks.
I think you will not have a problem finding a pub open for pub-grub after 6 pm. We're not talking "fine dining" here. Besides, it's a university town and students eat frequently and on a budget. The walk from Kings Chapel to the train station could take as much as half an hour.
Thanks for that information. We are always looking for cheap meals, so that's good news. Do you happen to know how late the buses run from City-center to the Cambridge Rail station?
