What is the best route to take & airline to travel on from LAX to Scandinavia? Traveling late July /early August & opened to stopping in London/Germany/France??

If you leave your dates flexible and choose the multi-city option, you'll be able to see your choices including stops. I don't think anyone can answer your question off the bat unless they fly those same routes frequently. Airline fares change all the time, so better to look at info in real time.
I am not sure when and where you want to go exactly...but I found Helsinki to be a good base...I flew LAX to Chicago to Helsinki. I know I know...Finland is not Scandinavia...but like I said I thought it was a good base since I wanted to see Tallinn and Stockholm.
Most Skyteam members offer stops in CDG/AMS. But I must warn you, CDG's layout design is not exactly as user friendly and efficient as an average airport. Think LAX's inefficiency but bigger. Recommended layover time 2+ hours. I have known many people including myself that miss the next flight scheduled 90 minutes apart due to trying to get from one terminal to another even without checked luggage. But Air France does offer the new and beautiful Airbus A380-800 for the LAX-CDG route. Most likely your Star Alliance Will stop in Germany, I prefer Munich over Frankfurt, but either one is efficient and less headache. But recently the cheaper Star is Air Canada with a stop in Canada's YYZ/YUL. One World will most likely have a stop in London LHR, Since you will most likely be taking AA to LHR and BA to anywhere else. To me they are all the same really. I am a loyal Skyteam member so I always take Air France's A380 from LAX. It all just depends on which alliance you are loyal to and collecting miles from.
Thanks for your replies !! I'm searching all the suggestions ! Safe travels.
We fly United or one of their partners because we have miles with them. Our flight out of SFO to Scandinavia has taken us on the route to Heathrow or Frankfurt - from there to either Copenhagen or Stockholm. We have done both. As a matter of fact, just returned, and our flight this time was into Heathrow and then Copenhagen.
SAS recently opened a direct route from SFO to Copenhagen.
