It looks like you get great deals if you buy inflexible tickets i.e. must go at reserved time. Has anyone done this before? i can't really see the catch and the savings almost seem too good to be true.

We purchased all of our tickets for late June/early July travel from Nat Express East Coast. We lose flexibility, but the savings were to good to pass up. Check to see if you qualify for a rail card because that can also save you a great deal. We used the Family & Friends card for my wife and I and 2 kids.
