Buying tickets for a soccer game in London

Going to London in mid Novemeber. Who/what/where is the best place to purchase tickets for soccer games? i.e. Do they have a Craigs List of sorts? I have heard that maybe some Pub's might have a sorce to purchase tickets. Any advise would be appreciated.

The previous post regarding the bigger London clubs is sound but it does depend on what mid November means. There won't be any club games, certainly in the Premier League, on weekend of 16th November. There are however international friendlies at Wembley against Chile and Germany on 15th and 19th November respectively. The Germany match in particular will be a tremendous atmosphere between two of the historically most important football nations. These are both friendlies but not many England matches versus Germany are that friendly. Think Red Sox versus Yankees times 10 with a couple of World Wars thrown in. Tickets are on sale via the Football Association website. If you are prepared to venture 90 minutes out of London you could watch Southampton on 9th. Saints are currently playing the best football in the Premiership but I am biased!

It's challenging to get tickets for the top teams as you will be required to be a registered member of the club. Even the resale sights like Viagogo have arrangements to with the teams to only sell to members. You may have better luck with the less prestigious teams like Tottenham, West Ham, Fulham, or Crystal Palace. Check their official sites for tickets. If you have heart set on Arsenal or Chelsea, my strategy is to try my luck with the scalpers outside the stadium on match day. I'm not always successful as sometimes they are only buying tickets.
