Any thoughts on how much to budget for a trip to Finland for 6 days in June or July (without airfare there and without lodging - I will be staying with a friend)? What are average train, bus, food prices? Thanks!

I was only in Helsinki briefly but I had the impression that it was quite expensive as is all of Scandinavia.

Thanks very much for the reply! I was expecting Finland to be much more expensive than Boston, so this sounds like good news! But to reconfirm, Finland is then much cheaper than England and most of Europe?

I said a little bit higher than Boston...that's not much different than Scandinavia...at last the parts of Boston a tourist would visit...not as pricey as Norway, but probably as expensive as Stockholm or Cobenhaven.
