We will have a car but are looking for lodging under $100/night this summer near Lugano, Locarno, Domodossola areas.
Any suggesetions? thanks

I think it was over $100 but we stayed at the Hotel Walter in Lugano. All rooms face the lake and have a good view nad most, if not all have balconies

You can choose from among the hostels in the area. Some have private rooms with private baths.
My wife and I stay in hostel when we can. We find them to meet our needs and they are cheaper than small hotels.
