Is there a tour company that books tours of Buckingham Palace for a specific reservation time that requires little or no waiting in line at the site? If not, what is the most painless way to tour Buckingham palace in Sept.?
You can buy tickets in advance online. http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/default.asp?action=article&ID=30 Pam
We toured Buckingham Palace this past September. The Queen was on vacation August and September, so the Palace was more open for touring than normal. We bought our tickets ahead of time from the Palace's website...we bought the package that did not tie you to a specific time "A Royal Day Out." We waited perhaps 3 minutes to enter the State Rooms, and had no wait at the Queen's Gallery and the Royal Mews. For 2011, the Queen will be away August 1 - September 25.
