Britrail Pass and Tube

2 quick questions:

  1. Does the Britrail Pass also work for London's Tube or is that a separate system requiring its own tickets and passes?

  2. We will be arriving in London late on a Saturday night (around midnight to 0100). Is it safe taking the Tube at this hour to our hotel?

A private car service like Just Airports will be cheaper than a taxi. There is a discount for paying cash.

Thanks Steve. Any other options other than the bus or a cab to get from Heathrow to downtown London late Saturday night/early Sunday morning?
