We would like to visit the British Museum at night. Our plan would be to follow Rick's self-guided tour. The guidebook specifically says "not all galleries are open Friday night, but most of our tour is". I looked over the British Museum site, but I cannot figure out what we would miss. Does anyone know specifically what we would miss seeing if we followed our guide book tour?
Thank you!
http://www.britishmuseum.org/visiting/admission_and_opening_times/late_opening.aspx has the galleries that are open late.
Not quite what you are asking, but try to get to the British Library on Euston Road, not too far from the St Pancras/Kings Cross rail station. They have original copies of the Magna Carta, Gutenberg Bible, etc and it's free. They are opened daily but not nights and some weekends.
