We just arrived 2 days ago. Thanks so much for everyone who had generously shared information, advices and tips. When I was planning our trip, there was the threat of the volcano ashes disrupting our trip. With the advices given from this forum, I went ahead with booking our flight.I am so glad I did . This is our second time in London and I would definitely go back- so much to do and see! We had a 2 hours layover in Chicago on our way there. I am glad we did as it gave me a chance to walk around to minimize swelling on my legs. With the advice from this forum, I scheduled a pickup from the airport to our hotel with Ray Skinner from London Transfers.com. He was very reliable and nice. With the four of us, we only paid 54 pounds flat fee. It didn't matter that I didn't sleep on the plane going there, I have all this excitement in me.
We did things that we didn't do last year. We enjoyed the Tower of London.Wish we would have enough time there. The exit for the Tower of london gave us this spectacular view of the Tower bridge. We did the tour of the Tower bridge. We went up to an elevator and had a chance to look around. I recommend this tour. We also watched 'Mama Mia'on our last night in London. We didn't get the half off as we booked in advance at leicester square on the first day we arrived London. We did the Beatles walk which took us to parts of London that we would not even have gone. We bought our sim card for 10 pounds that we used up till Paris. We only had 3 & 1/2 days in London and didn't have a chance to do Bath. We took the bus and the tube to travel
and we feel comfortable doing it.On our last night taking the tube, there was a man singing 'Streets of London'. What a way to end our trip. I would definitely go back....

Oh Sally, I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit to MY city. I tell everyone to take the London Bridge Tour. It's really good isn't it? I can't wait for the chance to take my granddaughter on it.
