We'll be in London for Bonfire Night (Guy Fawkes Day) this November and would like any suggestions for unique celebrations, particularly those in the Kingston/Surbiton area since that's where we'll be staying.
I doubt that you will find anything unique in Kingston or Surbiton, those names being synonyms for dull suburbia. You may well find the typical organised bonfire and firework display, usually arranged by the Rotary Club or another charitable organisation. Those kinds of displays are found everywhere and will be advertised locally. For something really unique you would probably need to travel to Devon for the tar barrels in Ottery St. Mary, or to Sussex for the celebrations in Lewes.
