Bletchley Park,how to get there?

I have been using rail and bus sites to find the best way from London to Bletchley Park which I gather is in a town called Milton Keynes, about 50 miles West of London, but I have the feeling I am not asking the questions correctly so I am not getting the info. I need. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks,John

John,

It's really easy. Bletchley is 4 minutes train journey south of Milton Keynes. This is one time when having a railpass may be better than point to point for convenience because it may be faster to take a fast train to Milton Keynes Central then backtrack.

You can't do that on a normal ticket, so assuming that, go to London Euston and join a London Midland train which stops at Bletchley. There are often reasonably quick direct trains at xx:13 from Euston.

Once you hop off at Bletchley go out of the station and keep going in nearly a straight line following the signs.

Enjoy. Maybe see the film first, but remember it was the British, not the fictionalized Americans who got the machine.

Using the national rail link from the Bletchley website (I too am interested in visiting), I get the following:

WEEKDAY Direct trains (no changes) leave from Euston Station to Bletchley Park often. There are a couple of a.m. trains that take 36 minutes, BUT they are during "peak" time, and a round-trip ticket is 29.70. If you wait until the off-peak fare kicks in, it is only 14.00 pounds. The first leaves at 9.24. These trains take 51-52 minutes. So, I am thinking leisurely breakfast, another 15 minutes on the train, and saving over 15 pounds, arrive before 11 am and still have lots of time for the visit. There seem to be at least 3-4 trains an hour returning, with journey times of 40-60 minutes.

The sight is down a footpath directly opposite the train station. Seems pretty easy.

If anyone can confirm or correct or add to this info, I would be grateful.
