Biking in SW Ireland

Bike shoes and pedals if you are particular and really into biking. Bike Shorts and a jersey, socks. The stuff you'd use here. I'd bring my own helmet...last thing I care to do is use one someone else has sweat in. Rental bikes come with pedals, usually traps so you can wear tennis shoes to ride in. They'll have a bag on the handle bars usually and a clear pouch for cues/maps. If you rent, most bike rental companies will give you a free water bottle. I'd check into companies and check out what is included before you head out. Check out Irondonkey.com Tony is very good. Not sure he does day trips, but might be able to accommodate you.
