Going to Tromsø, Oslo, Bergen. Having trouble finding hotels with beds big enough for husband who's 2 metres tall. No luck finding non-luxury rooms with 1 double bed and 1 single.
I am the same height and I haven't ever had a major issue. You sleep a bit diagonally, or feet hang off the bed or assume the fetal position. Unless he has some health issues related to his legs, he'll be ok.
He's 6 feet tall? That's not... uhhh... very tall, is it? Did you mean he is MORE than 6'? If so, that might present an issue - but then, it would present an issue in the US, too, wouldn't it? My husband's 6' tall, and hasn't had a problem anywhere we've travelled in Europe. I suppose you could request a King Sized bed, depending on the hotel. And, aren't Scandinavians generally pretty tall, too? I don't think they have mini-beds. I haven't been to Norway, but I don't recall the beds being small in Denmark.
My husband is 6'6" tall/2 metres/78". It is definitely a problem, everywhere. Yes, I wonder how tall Norwegians sleep in the narrow, short beds described in most hotels.
Kira, 2 meters is roughly 6'6".
