We are looking to bicycle in both of these places. Nothing long or hard core-just some simple (less than 25 miles)cycle tourism. Does anyone have any suggestions?
We need to find rental places and routes.

Not sure when you are arriving or whether this reply is too late for you.
You can hire cycles in Stratford from www.stratfordbikehire.com. Bikes can be delivered to your accomodation.
There are loads of fairly easy routes from Stratford. Two of the National cycle routes pass through Stratford and you can head out on these into the Cotswolds or across to Warwick.
The Stratford Greenway is a 5 mile traffic free cycle route staring in Stratford and heading out along the river Avon and the racecourse. Once you get to the end you can take a couple of different routes around local villages. You have route options from 10 miles (there and back)or upwards.
