Wow! This site is so fantastic! Thanks to everybody that writes in. How great! Okay, two quick questions: is it easier to grab a train or bus to Galway directly from Dublin airport. I know about the #748 airlink bus but any other info would be great since I will be really sleep-deprived at this point. Also, anyone ever leave luggage for a week at Dublin airport??? Thanks!

Did you already book your flight? Was there a reason you couldn't fly open jaw into Shannon and out of Dublin?
If you are already locked-in on a flight into Dublin, I'd still suggest you take the train to Galway. After being stuck on an airplane with no leg room, last thing you'll want to do is be stuck on a bus for another 3 hours. At least on the train, you can move around or stretch out a little if it isn't too crowded.

Bus service directly from the Dublin airport to Galway is provided by Citylink. The bus stops in Dublin, but there are no changes.
