My husband and I are planning london & Scotland mid-sept. How late can we book air & hotel? I was thinking of waiting until July?

My husband and I are planning the same trip around your time frame, and I purchased our plane tickets a few days ago. I know that may seem early to some people, but once we decide on definite dates I like to get the tickets so I can be sure of good seat selection. I also have made reservations at most of the hotels we'll need, especially in London and Edinburgh. But unless you have certain requirements, like needing an elevator or wanting to stay near a particular venue, you can probably wait a little while longer. Keep in mind that London Fashion Week is September 16-21 this year, so if that is when you'll be in London, don't wait too long! Enjoy your trip.

try smoothhound.com for B&B's in the uk, have not used them for London but for Scotland was great.
