My husband and I will be in Dublin in August and wanted to stop at a few good pubs. Any suggestions? I have heard Brazenhead is a goo one. Thanks!

Robin, I don't have any suggestions of names of publs in Dublin, but do suggest you take a musical pub crawl some evening. It's a lot of fun, and very informative about Irish music. I've loved it ever since.
Robin,
We just returned from two weeks in Dublin. What do you want to experience and I'll give you some thoughts. Traditional music, local flavor, historic, etc?

Brazenhead claims to be the oldest pub in Ireland and is worth a visit - also you should drop in on Davy Byrnes in Duke Street. This is one of the pubs featured in Joyce's Ulysses and serves a great lunch.
Just walk through the Temple Bar section of town (just south of the river from O'Connel Street). Wander around for a few minutes and you are certain to find something to your liking.
