Best Marriott in London?

I am looking for a Marriott hotel in the city of London. Traveling with my wife and 17 year old daughter. Would like to have breakfast included and close to a tube. Using reward points for the stay. Any recommendations? Would like something nice.

I have just spent l0 days at Grosvenor House, now A JW Marriott Hotel and although I work for Marriott I honestly believe it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in -- with great Park Lane (Mayfair) location overlooking Hyde Park, wonderful BORD'EAUX restaurant with the only outdoor cafe on Park Lane, one of the l0 best afternoon teas in London, a great concierge Tony Verri, beautifully appointed rooms and a decidedly residential feel which comes from the interiors, the solid construction of the past and the many long-time staff who really love their hotel and make you feel right at home. What a home it is!

Thanks for the info. Have you stayed at the Grosvenor? Is that the G. House or Square?

I have stayed at a lot of the Marriott's in London. Here is my take on them:
- Grosvenor Square is an average Marriott

  • Grosvenor house is the newly remodeled hotel now classified as a JW Marriott - I have only stayed here prior to the remodel - it is nice but I prefer the next one

  • Renaissance Chancery Court (just outside Holborn Station). - This is a great hotel - large spacious rooms and great desserts in the lounge. In my opinion this is the best of the Marriott hotels in London

  • County Hall - great location for a tourist - right across from Big Ben and Parliment - great for evening walks. Overall a so-so hotel, but the location can't be beat. Make sure you can get a view that looks out over the Thames.

My recommendation if going for a few days is to split your stay with 2 days at County Hall and the rest at the RCC or Gr House.

You can get a lot more detailed info if you go to flyertalk.com and look at the Marriott forum.
