Best affordable hotel at Heathrow Airport?

I have an overnight layover; coming in from Barcelona and then flying into New York out of of Heathrow. For me I think the easiest would be to stay overnight at the airport. Was just wondering what recommendations others might have?

I stayed at Heathrow Lodge a couple of times. It is walking distance from two attractive pubs and had a free shuttle to the airports various terminals, starting at 6am.

Yotel. Check out the reviews on Tripadvisor. Recommended as you posted, "stay overnight at the airport."

Jury's Inn is convenient and has the free bus service to it on a regular basis..

We also stayed at Jury's Inn. Very reasonable and it provides a shuttle.

We did Jurys Inn last year, and Ibis this year. Both are fine for overnight. Ibis has a decent breakfast, and booked ahead, can be fairly cheap. No wifi though. Catch the red bus from Heathrow. I think it is 111 and 555 or 501, but cannot remember. Maybe someone else can chime in. The buses are free. The Hoppa Bus is 4Pounds per person. We really liked Jurys Inn also. Can't believe it can be so utterly quiet under the flight path at Heathrow!

We stayed at the Yotel in Terminal 4 on our last visit to England. What a hoot. They charge by the hour. The rooms are small and the bed is motorized so that it can be placed flat when you want to sleep. Still, the room has everything you need for your brief stay. Free wi-fi. It was so convenient to just take the free train shuttle to Termial 1 to catch our flight home.

If you stay at one of the big named hotels at Heathrow, you'll pay for the pleasure. Instead, we're staying at the Comfort Hotel, Hayes for about $118 (w/o breakfast). Check www.booking.com for other suggestions. This is a 3-star which has rec'd mixed reviews just don't feel like paying big $$ for a one night's stay. Wanted a hotel where we could cancel the booking w/o penalty in case of emergency. There's a Hoppa Bus at some of the Terminals which costs about $7 pp round trip. We're using Silverfleet Dover-Heathrow shuttle. Turns out if you can see the airport from your hotel, Silverfleet will drop us off at the hotel itself rather than just one of the terminals.

Thanks to all of you for offering your suggestions. I ended up staying at the Jury's Inn which didn't break the bank and it was extremely convenient; took the Tube there and back. Appreciate the help!
