A few months back, I found a flight from Belfast to Edinburgh. I cannot remember the website. But I was so excited because it was a one hour flight and about $30.00. And it would have eliminated the ferry and train scenario. Anyway, now that our trip is official and we've purchased out tickets to Ireland, I canNOT find ANY flights from Belfast to Edinburgh. The only flight that I could find had a layover in London which makes the time-saving factor non-existent. Anyway, does anyone know an airline besides Aer Lingus, BMI or Ryanair that might fly that route directly? I've already tried those AND Orbitz, Expedia, etc. Is it possible that some of the airlines eliminated some routes due to cutbacks? I swear the flights were there. I don't THINK I'm going crazy... ;)
You can try easyjet.com
OMG Ray, you ROCK! I'd never even heard of them. Or maybe I had but thought they were out of business. Anyway, it's cheap, and it's direct. You've solved my travel dilemma for the day!
Amy,
For future reference, there are search engines just for budget airlines in Europe. Three good ones are www.flylc.com, www.whichbudget.com, and www.skyscanner.net. You would have found easyJet listed on them.
Thanks, Tim. This is why I love this website...
