Has anyone stayed here? Tripadvisor rates it quite high, would love feedback on the property and the location as well. Thanks.
Hi Wendy,, I have stayed there, just this past June, and I loved it! I didn't think the rates were that bad, I paid 99 GBPs for a single, but I thought it was worth it . The bed was comfy( duvet instead of blanket which I like) the bathroom completely modern, and the room quiet , no noise from outside or neighbors. The location is great, on a quiet street but easy walk to two Tube stations( Earls Court and Gloucester) , two grocery stores( there is a mini kitchenette in room, just microwave, small fridge and sink, but snacking in room can save alot of money) and a nice walk to two great museums( Victoria and Albert and the Natural History Musuem) .
I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
I love Earls Ct and the Kensington area to stay in. Residential, so it isnt as crowded with tourists and its still very close to the central area. Everything you need up Kensington High St as well as close to the museums and the #74 bus to Oxford st and Harrods, etc.
I also stayed there for a couple of nights back in April. I liked it and would stay there again. My single room was tiny (I've stayed in about a dozen hotels in London and single rooms are always small, but this seemed particularly small), but that was offset by the nice amenities (free wireless, fridge, microwave). It was very efficiently organized. Place was very clean and bathroom was nice with quite a good walk-in shower. It is about 2 blocks from Earls Court tube station. I also liked the fact that they had a vending machine that sold drinks and snacks at normal High Street prices instead of gouging you like most hotels. Make sure to book early; they do fill up. I was looking at them for a potential upcoming trip and they don't have rooms for my entire stay.
