I've just booked a trip to Scotland and Ireland this May. The first day my boyfriend and I arrive in Edinburgh is Monday, May 5th- a bank holiday. My understanding is that some tourist sites and businesses close on that day. Is there any way to sort through what will or won't be open? I'd hate to fly in and find all the places we want to see are closed on top of the jet lag. Thanks!
