Any suggestions, travelers? I'll be there in mid-late September. Thanks.
Have you narrowed down what part of the city you want to stay in? I have stayed in the city centre and on the west side. I think I liked the west side better, unless I'm just staying there before catching a flight home. Then the city centre is more convenient for the airport bus.

Hi Pamela! Don't know a thing about Glasgow except what I've read in Rick's guide. I'm not much of a night owl, but I live in Manhattan (NYC) so I enjoy being where things are open early and late. Any help you could give would be appreciated. Thanks!
I think I would vote for the west end. You can easily get downtown on Glasgow's subway. It's still going to be a matter of taste. Check out this website to see if you like what you hear about it. http://www.glasgowwestend.co.uk/ I found the Footprint Guide to Scotland to be really useful. I think the reason I like the west side as it is the University area, it's more like staying in a neighborhood vs staying in the Chicago Loop for example.
