Will plan to stay 3 nights in Westport and 2 in Kenmare. This is our first trip to Ireland. Any suggestions on B&Bs?
For Kenmare, Tahila Cove is lovely.
I stayed here in 2002 (so "old" info)

It was clean and the breakfast was good. (if my memory is correct, we could get french toast and other options. Since most places just do an Irish fry, it was a nice change) Our room was fine (nothing special, but adequate) We stayed in B&B's for a month on that trip. This one didn't stand out as "fabulous", but it was fine and we paid about $55 dollars at the time. It has gone up quite a bit since then (partly because the euro was worth less than the dollar back then) We could walk to Westport and they provided parking. I think the pictures they show are pretty accurate. We did enjoy Westport and climbing Croagh Patrick.
Hi Steve, we stayed in Rockcrest house in Kenmare in April, it is a beautiful house and David and Marian are wonderful hosts.
For Kenmare I'll heartily recommend the Watersedge. Lovely setting, gracious hosts, a great breakfast, and very reasonable prices.
