B&B suggestion in Dingle, Ireland?

Thank you to anyone who helped out with my itinerary in another post, it is greatly appreciated! My brother, parents and myself are going to stay around Dingle for two nights in early September. Can someone please recommend a B&B that is within walking distance of some decent pubs (10 / 15 minute walk) but is away from the highway or any excessive noise? Thank you!

I am considering the Milestone House and Lighthouse B&B by the way!

I was the person who suggested Milestone House. In addition to what I said before I will give you a little more information. It was very quiet, as it is not 'in town'. I would say it is a 15-20 minute walk, depending on where you are going, from the pubs. Our room (#1?) had a great view of the water. There is plenty of parking. I suggest you check the places you are considering on Trip Advisor.

Darren, You might try Alpine Guest House in Dingle. It's only about a 5-10 minute walk to the main part of town and LOTS of Pubs. I'd suggest booking SOON though, as "early September" is not far away. Happy travels!

We walked the Dingle Peninsula trail three years ago and we stayed with Mrs. Angela OFlaherty in Dingle town. I think her B and B is called OFlaherty's. It is about a ten minute walk to the town center but it away from all of the pub noise in a sort of suburban location. Do take a flashlight as the road is not well lighted after dark. Angela is a great host and a good cook. She was very helpful with everything and the next day, when it was raining as usual, she even gave us a lift through town so we could have a head start on that day's walking. This is not luxury, but very adequate and the price is only about 30 euros each per night.

Darren - I would highly recommend The Coastline Guest House. Our family stayed there this past June and it was great. It's about a 10 - 15 minute walk to town. Vivian(sp?) the was very knowledgeable on the goings on in town. Also when in Dingle stop by Foxy John's for a pint and Murphy's for some great ice cream.

Strong recommendation for the Greenmount House on John Street. It is a beautiful setting with landscaped gardens and a view of the harbor and the rolling hills beyond. Rooms are large, comfy and have private baths. There are several common rooms decorated with art, sculpture, pottery, books. Wonderful places for relaxing and visiting with others. Breakfast was delicious and served in a loving dining area. Afternoon tea and wine bar are also available to guests. Secure car park. Five minute walk to the main part of town for shopping, restaurants, music. I wish we had stayed longer than two nights.
